Casa el Escalerón
The rural complex Casa el Escalerón is composed of two rural houses, each one of them is made up of two independent rural flats with capacity for four to six people each, and provided with two spacious and comfortable sofa beds situated around the fireplace.
Each flat has a living room with equipped kitchen, two bedrooms, complete bathroom, oil heating with thermostats and chimney.
Each house has a large covered patio with a wooden porch allowing year-round use and enjoyment.
Las Casas el Escalerón are located in a privileged place, in full heart of the Serranía de Cuenca, declared a NATURAL PARK in 2007, in view of its great wealth of flora, fauna, geology, geomorphology and landscape.
They are located on the outskirts of the town of Uña and a couple of minutes walk from the magical Lagoon of this town.
You can visit the most emblematic places in the Serranía de Cuenca Natural Park such as the Enchanted City, the Callejones de Las Majadas and the source of the Cuervo River, without forgetting that we are only 36 kilometres from CUENCA CAPITALIt has the privilege of being a World Heritage City, a declaration granted in 1996 by UNESCO, thus belonging to a select group of only fifteen cities in our country.
Commitments to biodiversity conservation and local development
At El Escalerón we regularly organise waste collection days to clean the most visited places in the surroundings of Uña, such as the lagoon and the Pozas del Arroyo de la Madera. We also collaborate with local craftsmen in the recovery and restoration of rural furniture to “bring it back to life”, and with naturalist entities, such as the Erparvel Group, in the restoration of fountains and other ethnographic elements that, due to their abandonment, are disappearing. Finally, we collaborate with local food producers, who are considered as suppliers of the gifts we give to our most loyal guests.
