A destination at the antipodes of the cliché of the flat horizons and vast plains of La Mancha.

Located in the extreme northeastern part of the province of Cuenca, the Serranía de Cuenca is a diverse, rugged and fertile natural region, settled on a complex mountainous structure of a karst nature whose landscapes, shaped by the imperturbable chiseling force of its waters, are dominated by enchanted cities, green meadows and endless forests.

  • The Serranía de Cuenca has a great wealth of flora, fauna, geology, geomorphology and landscape, so that most of its natural areas are included in the Network of Protected Areas of Castilla-La Mancha and in the Natura 2000 Network, highlighting the following areas more than 73,000 hectares of the Serranía de Cuenca Natural Parkand the recent declaration of a large part of its territory as a CABRIEL VALLEY BISOFERA RESERVE.
  • As an inland tourist destination, the Serranía de Cuenca offers unique opportunities to enjoy its rich natural heritage through the discovery of authentic botanical, faunal and geomorphological treasures.
  • Our forests and villages are also an ideal destination to reconnect with our rural culture through the rediscovery of lost trades, customs, traditions and ways of life in close contact with nature and the enjoyment of the gastronomy of local products.
