A destination at the antipodes of the cliché of the flat horizons and vast plains of La Mancha.

Located in the extreme south of the province of Albacete, the Sierra del Segura is a region that contains mountains of more than 2,000 meters, fertile valleys, extensive forests, deep canyons.

  • The region is one of the largest protected areas in Europe with 140,000 Hectares included in the Natura 2000 network of the European Union and 27,800 Hectares assigned to the Calares del Mundo and La Sima Natural Park and the Sierra de las Cabras Natural Reserve.
  • You will be able to admire the flight of the Imperial Eagle, the Golden Eagle, the Griffon Vulture, the Bearded Vulture and many other birds or be amazed by the evolutions of the mountain goat in the rocky areas. In addition, the Sierra del Segura maintains the traditional coexistence between nature and man, which maintains traditional crops and terraced gardens that take us back to the rich water culture of the Arabs.
  • Numerous rivers and streams originate in the Sierra del Segura. All of them with clean and transparent waters that originate innumerable fountains and waterfalls. Its 12 municipalities share a living culture and a rich patrimonial, artistic and architectural legacy inherited from its historical past as a frontier territory.
